NEWS UPDATE ?
As part of President Barack Obama's plan to have a transparent government and transition process, Mary Partin, CEO, and Susan Morantes, Operations Director, of the Dan Marino Foundation were invited to take part in a community meeting to discuss with the Obama Transition Team policy concerns relevant to persons with disabilities.
Kareem Dale, Disability Coordinator/Liaison in the Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs Department for the Transition Team conducted the meeting. Mr. Dale and Michael Strautmanis, Chief of Staff to the Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Relations and Public Liaison, stressed the importance of these organizations having a ?seat at the table? to put forth policy issues.
